Tube guard can be turned to dim the light output from the bulb.

This 48 in. tube guard features a rotating sleeve for a
dimming effect that reduces brightness and glare.

Adjustable Light Control Tubeguard Glare and harsh light can
now be regulated with our Adjustable Light Control Tubeguard.
This product utilizes a pattern of black dots that are evenly
positioned running the length of the tube. As the Tubeguard is
rotated, the dotted pattern progressively gets closer together
producing a solid black line. This rotation affects the light
projection and allows the user to position the Tubeguard to
control exactly the light output and direction desired. Glare
on the computer screen, harsh light reflecting off paperwork
and other lighting related discomforts are now resolved.
Not for use on HO or VHO lamps.

End caps are made of black high heat polypropylene and are included in each carton of tubes.

The new T5 HO Tube Guard features an increased size and venting endcaps.
The increased size allows a greater distance of the guard from the hottest point of the lamp near
the end of the lamp.
This distance reduces the temperature of the guard material measured at the inside wall of the guard.
The T5 HO Tube Guard is suitable for use with T5 HO lamps in normal operating conditions where
the surface of the lamp does not exceed 200°F.

T5 HO Tubeguards use only when in conjunction with electronic high efficiency ballasts that are designed to prevent
overheating of the lamp during use and at "end of life." It is not recommended using under any condition where surface
lamp temperature can exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit or in an enclosed fixture where normal venting is prohibited.
Not recommended for use with dimming systems or applications where power surges or spikes can cause arcing or
over-burning of lamps.
